So far, Jalapeno Popper is our favourite. And close seconds are All Dressed and Overdose. The store itself is its own vibe and is a good photo op. Friendly staff. 5-10 has good taste!
The service was exceptional. My family of 5 and I got 2 pies and 2 Philadelphia cheesesteaks. The kids chowed down and my wife and I both loved the food. Would go back 10/10 times!
Full disclosure: I am from the northeast in the states and live in Portland Oregon, both places known for their pizza. (But also I have had terrible. One near my work was so bad and inexplicably liked by many people we worked with that I would order a salad instead when we went there. Yes for sure!) I am a frequent Van Isle visitor and will be in Nanaimo all summer. I ordered Mambo Pizza with reasonable expectations because the pictures, options, and reviews were very encouraging. I had Italian sausage, red pepper, and red onion with basil, oregano, and extra tomato sauce. Surprisingly good in all aspects and I will return! Also, my order was ready on time and the staff were efficient and friendly.
The vegan all dressed is sooo good! The crust is pillowy yet crispy, the tomato sauce is delicious and the topping are fresh. They use vitalife for the vegan cheese and it is incredible, not sticky or strange like most other brands. They also use beyond pepperoni, yum. Love love love the pizza here, thank you for offering an epic option for plant eaters.
Ordered 2 slices, Cancun and Pickle Boy. I enjoyed both while my teen didn't enjoy the Pickle one. I tend to like different flavors. It's counter service with about 6 seats along the window. There are a few seats outside but saw most people picked up to go. The server was kind enough to cut both slices in half for sharing. Crust was in-between thin and regular thickness. It had a nice flavor of oven baked. Would return. They do Gluten free, vegan dough on request. Dips are extra.
These guys never fail to deliver your expectations!!! I had called them tonight at 7:19 pm to order a large pizza; half pepperoni and half MAMBO MASALA including the dip Hot Ranch, to be delivered at NRGH and a handsome dude delivered it before 8:00pm costing me 25.63 before the tip. The pizza was top notch as you can see in the picture below... Great job guys as usual Thank you once again!!!
Whenever I am in Nanaimo I have to get the jalapeno popper pizza from here. It's a game changer! I will admit all the pizzas I have tried are great but that's by far my favorite!
Absolutely fantastic pizza! My wife and I had it delivered to a local campground where we routinely stay. Homemade dough and fresh ingredients makes all the difference. The toppings are plentiful and lots of cheese. It’s a real thick and delicious pie. Two slices and you’re full. What we really liked was how it wasn’t over-sauced and overly salty like many places. We had the XL pizza....half Montreal style and half Yonge street. Both spectacular! Excellent personable delivery service too. An absolute gem and our new go-to pizza when in Nanaimo. 5/5. Perfect!
